Ten animators came together to create Big Noise, a music video for the title track of Lucinate’s latest album. Created using the exquisite corpse technique, each collaborator developed a piece of animation in their unique style building on what came before their sequence. The last frame of one creator became the starting point for the next one, leading to unexpected and dynamic results with a fluid narrative.

Created using the exquisite corpse technique, each collaborator developed a piece of animation in their unique style building on what came before their sequence. The short opens with glimpses of a laidback jazz bar. Pealing through these fleeting moments, the mystery deepens as the music rises. We discover a detective chasing answers through a rainy night. Adding a surreal twist to the narrative, I further explored the detective’s exploits as he uncovers a grisly crime scene. Seemingly one step behind the incident, every clue leads to more questions. The hunt leads to an intergalactic odyssey, and back in time to the detective’s childhood.
