OYO Townhouse is the cooler, chic sibling of regular, thick-glasses-wearing OYO, with each Townhouse designed to compliment its neighbourhood, and based on the needs of the modern, millennial traveller.

Travellers that prefer elegant

spaces over stuffy rooms—spaces for like-minded people to unwind, collaborate and hang out.  


The family of characters designed by Jay Cover, called the Townies, beautifully capture this feeling of belonging. I was commissioned to create a series of relatable animated shorts, to help establish OYO Townhouse as a fun alternative to hotels.

The process of developing each short began with a script and storyboard to mark out the key story beats. A rough, in-house sound-track, complete with silly, gibberish character voices was then created, which formed the basis for the comic and animation timing.
